Fey worked as a receptionist during day time at YMCA in Evanston, Illinois and had classes at the Second City in the night. Fey was contributing articles to the newspaper, She was a member of choir, drama club and tennis team and editor of The Acron, a school journal. Catherine O’Hara was her role model. She developed an interest in comedy even when she was studying in middle school. Even at the age of 11, she studied the ‘Seventy Years of Great Film Comedians’ for her school project. Stamatina Fey was permitted to see comedy films by her father during her younger days.
